Diana SandersI’ve been studying music since I was eleven. After achieving grade 8 in singing, theory and flute I obtained a Creative Arts degree at Nottingham Trent University where I specialised in Singing, flute and composition. I won the University composition competition in 1987. Since then I have worked as an instrumental music teacher in schools and as a private tutor. I also have worked with a variety of bands from Jazz to folk. I have run workshops and evening classes in singing. My published composition works include Flutes of the Forest, Animal Flute (finalist in new composition competition for National Flute Association), Animal Sax and Clarinet, Animal Duets, Release Your Voice volume 1 and 2, and Tales of the Tide. My style evolved mainly from swapping ideas with other players, and copying the parts I liked from my favourite records. Some examples of my published playing and writing are available in the various CDs and music that I’ve recorded with Diana (see below). I built my first guitar when I was 15 because I couldn’t afford
a decent instrument. A friend managed to provide me with a very nice piece
of mahogany. I’ve been building, rebuilding and generally messing
around with guitars and basses ever since. You can contact Pete Regan
