I spent 3 years studying for a diploma in Woodwind Repair and Clarinet Making at Newark College. After passing with merit I spent a year in Stockholm, Sweden working at a specialist flute repair shop. I carry out flute servicing and adjustments. Guitar; Pete Regan

I spent 5 years of evening classes at Rawlins College, Quorn, Leicestershire, learning to build and repair guitars using professional techniques and designs. The picture on the guitar page shows me playing one of the guitars I built. I undertake basic guitar setups and repairs, including electrical work and hardware replacements. I regularly perform minor repairs and adjustments for my students, to ensure that their guitars play and sound as well as they should. It’s surprising how even recently-bought guitars can benefit from a simple setup adjustment. Many older instruments develop faults which can be easily and cheaply corrected to return them to the way they sounded and played when new.
