Tales of the Tide

The Amazing Clouds gather their ideas and inspiration from the nature and old Celtic spirituality. The icy lakes of Sweden, the wild Atlantic seas off the coast of Norway, the wide open spaces of Africa and the beautiful British coastline have all played their part in chiseling and shaping the music. Strands of the old folk traditions of Northern Europe combine with elements of jazz, classical, folk and rock. Think Chicane meets Clannad at 5am.

The three East Midlands based musicians have an eclectic mix of styles. Diana has her roots in jazz, classical and folk and works as a musician, composer and vocal tutor. Pete emerges from the world of rock having found folk and jazz along the way and Steve from Glam rock and electric folk. The three have played in bands together for quite a few years and their CD 'Tales of the Tide' results from their mutual interests and song writing collaborations.
